3 Years LL.B. Course

Course Objectives

1. Candidate should have passed Graduate and or Post Graduate/Qualifying Examination from the of Maharashtra. As regards Minimum percentage of Marks in the Graduation and or Post Graduation, qualifying examination as the case may be, the candidates must have secured:

  • Forty-Five percent (45%) marks in aggregate (That is 45% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together) in qualifying examination in case of candidates belonging to General (Open)/E.W.S/Orphan candidates from the State of Maharashtra.
  • Forty-Two percent (42%) marks in aggregate (That is 42% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together) in qualifying examination in case of candidates belonging to VJ/DT/NT(A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/NT(D)/O.B.C/S.B.C Category belonging to the State of Maharashtra.
  • Forty percent (40%) marks in aggregate (That is 40% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together) in qualifying examination in case of candidates belonging to SC & ST Categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra only.

2. Three-Year graduation degree in any faculty issued by any University recognized by UGC and following a 12+3 education pattem is a must for admission of three-year law course.

3. Candidate obtained bachelor degree from any open University with Preparatory examination without passing HSC are not eligible for LLB-3 years course and admission of LL.B-3 year Course. (W.P.12192/2018 Hon'ble Aurangabad High Court Order).

4. Candidate should have completed any 3 year Bachelor degree from any open University (recognized by UGC) after passing 12th Std. (HSC). Such candidates are eligible for LLB- 3 year Course.

5. Candidate seeking admission into Three Year Law Course must have passed 12th (HSC) as it is the Basic Qualification for the 3 year law course without passing which, he or she cannot be considered eligible for LLB-3 Year Course.

6. Non Zero Score on MAH-LLB-3 Years 2020 CET conducted by the Competent Authority. Note: The Percentage of marks shall not be calculated by rounding off to nearest Integer

1. Admission to the first year of the 3 years law course are as per the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institution (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015.

2. Candidates are advised to visit the following websites for information on Common Entrance Test (CET) and the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). http://cetcell.mahacet.org/

3. The CAP is conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Maharashtra State. The schedule for admission, eligibility criteria, documents to be submitted and other rules pertaining to admission through CAP is decided by DHE and is published in the information brochure and hosted on DHE website.

The UGC has out-lined the unique features of the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). The Programmes of higher education has been designed by the concerned Board of Studies of the various faculties on the basis of the UGC guidelines and subsequently approved by the Academic Council and Management Council. These programmes are conducted at the University Departments and at the affiliated colleges and recognized institutions. The Examinations for Semesters I to IV (First and Second Year) of UG Programmes conducted by the colleges and Institutions on behalf of the University and remaining two Semesters V and VI (Third Year) by the University only. The University of Mumbai has adopted the Grading System. The Performance Grading of the Learners shall be on the Ten point system which is as under:

The performance grading shall be based on the aggregate performance of internal Assessment and Semester End Examination.

3 years LL.B (U.G.) Programme is of 120 credits.

  • -20 credits in each semester.
  • One (01) credit = Thirty (30) hours of learners Load.

2 Years LL.M. Degree, Affiliated To University of Mumbai

The LL.M program will train and impart the in-depth knowledge, skill and experience needed for a long and prosperous career in one area of law.

At Jeevandeep Shaikshanik Sanstha Poi's Jeevandeep Law College, we offer two optional groups, Business Law and Criminal Law and Criminal Administration.

Admission is purely on merit and is subject to availability of seats as per the directions issued by University of Mumbai and Government of Maharashtra from time to time. A transparent admission procedure is followed, strictly based on the standard norms. Any modification in admission guidelines will be notified on the college notice board at the time of admission.

(a) Admission of the students shall be made in accordance with the merits at the LL.M Entrance Examination (PGCETL) and marks secured at LL.B. Degree.

(b) Candidates seeking LL.M. Admission are required to appear for the entrance conducted by University of Mumbai. The minimum qualification for a candidate of general category applying for admission to the LL.M. Course is a LL.B degree of University of Mumbai or a degree recognized as equivalent thereto. However, candidates belonging to reserved category may apply for LL.M. Course with a pass class.

(c) Students who have passed LL.B. Degree from other than Mumbai University are required to obtain Provisional Statement of Eligibility Certificate from Eligibility Section, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, Santazcruz (E), Vidyanagari, Mumbai-400098. Such candidates are required to pay fee for document verification as prescribed by Mumbai University from time to time for confirmation of validity of their certificates of their previous University and confirmation of eligibility to their LL.M.
