Legal Aid Clinic

Jeevandeep Law College is committed to promoting access to justice through its Legal Aid Clinic, which provides free legal assistance to those in need, particularly underprivileged individuals who cannot afford legal representation. This initiative aligns with the Bar Council of India's mandate and the college’s mission to integrate legal education with social responsibility.

The clinic serves as a platform for students to gain practical legal experience under the guidance of faculty members and legal professionals. Students assist in various aspects, including legal advice, document drafting, and dispute resolution. They also participate in pro bono work, reinforcing their sense of duty toward justice.

Beyond providing individual legal aid, the clinic actively engages in legal literacy programs, awareness workshops, and community outreach initiatives. It educates citizens about their legal rights and remedies, ensuring that justice reaches the grassroots level. Special sessions on women’s rights, consumer rights, and labor laws further enhance public awareness.

Our College has 01 Legal Aid Clinic. The legal aid clinic has a built-up area 150 Square Feet divided into two cabins with good facilities for creating legal awareness and incentives for the victim by the committee of the legal aid clinic. All major suggestions will be provided by the legal aid clinic committee and the authorized legal aid clinic, and at the end of the academic year the data will be reviewed by the committee.
The Legal Aid Clinic within the college will play a vital role in bridging the gap between legal education and social legal service, while simultaneously providing students with invaluable experience. By connecting the academic environment with real-world legal challenges, the clinic will help develop skilled, ethically conscious lawyers who understand the importance of service to the public good. This initiative is not only a step toward preparing students for their future legal careers but also a crucial contribution to the local rural community, where justice is often inaccessible due to barriers.
Objective of the Legal Aid Clinic The primary objective of the Legal Aid Clinic is to bridge the gap between legal education and public relation in rural. The clinic will: 1. Offer free legal assistance to underserved or marginalized mofussil individuals. 2. Provide students with real-world experience in legal practice, including researching, drafting, and arguing legal matters. 3. Encourage public service and pro bono legal work among future lawyers. 4. Serve as an avenue for students to interact with the judicial system and gain an understanding of court proceedings.
Benefits of the Legal Aid Clinic 1.
